Rotterdam Convening 2024

We are delighted to announce an upcoming event, the Rotterdam Convening, which will take place on 7th and 8th June 2024. This event, part of Rotterdam Architecture Month, is designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and deepen the collaboration between the International Federation of Housing and Planning (IFHP) and Vereniging Deltametropool (VDM).

Over the past twelve months, The International Federation of Housing and Planning (IFHP) and Vereniging Deltametropool (VDM) have been diligently fostering a strong collaboration. As leaders in shaping resilient urban futures, this visit has been curated to offer you an immersive experience. Following a Convening in London in October 2023, which resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, and a successful Network of Networks brainstorming session in April 2024, both organizations are now taking the next step in connecting their members.

Partnership IFHP-VDM

VDM and IFHP share a common vision, focusing on urban and societal development with a high quality of life as their primary objective. Collaborating on this agenda brings together both the local context and global perspectives to tackle challenges with sustainable and socially equitable spatial development, planning and housing. While VDM focuses on the Eurodelta and IFHP represents the broader international context. This collaboration led to the establishment of a formal partnership with a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a shared vision and action plan from 2024 onwards.
