SURE-Eurodelta Network invites you to join the 19th EU Week of the Regions and Cities conference and contribute to the debate on "Achieving green transition in the Megaregion Eurodelta". This is a 90 minutes workshop organised by the SURE-Eurodelta Network, to be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 11:30 to 13:00 hours. The workshop will debate on the role of our megaregion in addressing challenges and impacts and in achieving green transition plans, especially the sustainable transport infrastructures and mobility. The megaregion is the key to localizing the European Green Deal and achieving EU ambitions to become a climate-neutral continent, thus addressing the agendas of the New European Bauhaus. The workshop by the SURE-Eurodelta Network will focus on presenting concrete spatial and policy-oriented actions, especially in the field of sustainable transport infrastructures and mobility. The SURE partners from four countries will showcase their best practices in response to the European Green Deal. Additionally, the outcomes and recommendations from the ESPON STISE research as well as the bright ideas from the Eurodelta Knowledge Platform will be presented. During this session we will launch a discussion on the added value for the European nations and other megaregions, to support cross-border cooperation. In the workshop, various stakeholders will address the challenges and potential impact of green transition plans. The aim is to create a sustainable, green, just, productive delta region. The program will be held on be Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 11:30 to 13:00 hours.
