Knowledge exchange on 21st century mobility

7th of October we come together with pioneering academics, policymakers, practitioners and more to discuss and learn about the obstacles and opportunities of the 15 minute city. Using data-driven research on micro mobility analysis we are able to dive deep into this aim of '15-Minute City'. What is the 15-Minute City beyond walking and cycling? What is equitable mobility and how can we see proximity not only as a proxy, overlooking lived experiences, social inequalities and the diverse needs of different population groups?

Under the DUT (Driving Urban Transition) research, talented researchers have looked into these questions and many more. Either finishing up their multiple year research projects or starting to define the frameworks now, we open the floor to anyone interested in data collection and critical examination of academic research.

This afternoon is designed as an exchange for DUT-15minCity projectpartners, policymakers and mobility experts focusing on in-depth discussion of cycling micro mobility, data methods and 15-minute-city research.

After the research focused afternoon program, all attendees will share a dinner at Pakhuis de Zwijger to get ready to share their insights with a much broader public. From 19:30 – 21:45 we dive into the rol of the Cycling Mayer of Amsterdam and learn about the applicability of the Flower of Proximity through an interactive session lead by Goudappel.
