The Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta 2021 explored the future developments for the territory of Eurodelta from the perspectives of the next generation with discussions and insights from eminent speakers. The 5-day conference consisted of three lunch forums and a two-day online symposium between 17th and 21st May 2021.
Our journey started from scratch, with a focus on empowering young planners and designers in transnational planning and development. We’ve learned from each other and we look forward to continuing this relationship and exchange.
This catalogue showcases the collective efforts and insights gained during Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta 2021, emphasizing the importance of involving the youth in the shaping of our urban environments. We extend our gratitude to participants, organizations, and supporters. Join us in exploring the rich content and findings within these pages.
The Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta was successfully held as an online symposium in May 2021 from the SURE Network perspective. With a strong consortium of City of Amsterdam, The Hague, Province of South Holland, Deltametropolis Association and Braun-Urban, we offered young students and researchers the stage to express their visions regarding the future of the Strategic Urban Region Eurodelta (SURE). As a result, they developed ideas and strategies to address environmental, technological and infrastructural challenges and presented those publicly with European stakeholders and experts.
Together, let’s forge a more inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable future for our cities and regions, even across the borders.

With this Catalog spreading around Eurodelta, we expect to develop the ideas further and thus, we see this as an opportunity to include the next generation in the development of Eurodelta.
The catalog is a compilation of work during the symposium, but some students and RWTH Aachen took these ideas to the next level and worked as Master’s Studio projects. Take a look!
